Day of discussion 13 mai 2019

Quality of urban and suburban soils and compatibility of uses

Feedback on the day of discussion of May 13th, 2019, held within the framework of the Working Group "Risks related to collective and private urban gardens", the POLLUSOLS project, the Ile de France Federation of Environmental Research and LabEx BASC.

The exchange brought together managers, gardeners, communities, developers and researchers in biotechnology and social sciences, at the Maison des acteurs du Paris durable.

The urban and suburban soil, sometimes degraded, is more and more solicited for recreational or food purposes which can be problematic. This complex environment needs to be better known. What are the health and environmental risks associated with these environments?

The aim was to take stock of knowledge and identify new lines of collaborative research in order to identify the possible future uses of these soils according to their quality (known or still to know).

Speakers' presentations are available on the following link. A collective work will follow, co-financed by Labex BASC, FIRE and ADEME.

At the BASC level, the persons in charge are Elisabeth Rémy, Christian Mougin and Isabelle Lamy of Joint (INRA/agroParisTech) Research Units SAD-APT and ECOSYS. It falls within the Ecotoxicologists network — EcoBASC.
